Clients frequently praise the firm's professionalism, with specific lawyers like Sarah-Louise and Wendy Arden being commended for going above and beyond, especially in real estate transactions. Reviewers highlight responsive service and the ability to handle last-minute hurdles, creating lifelong clients. However, one reviewer deeply criticises a staff member named 'Karen' for dismissive, discriminatory treatment based on accent and location, which contrasts sharply with other positive experiences. Overall, clients describe the lawyers as passionate, research-driven, and down-to-earth, though a few mention issues with communication responsiveness.

Real estate purchase. My lawyer was Wendy Arden. I found her through my real estate agent who suggested her when there was only 2 days prior to contract becoming unconditional and when I had to leave my previous lawyer. Wendy is very professional, down to earth and helped me like a friend or trustee. Since there was only 1.5 days left some lawyers firms rejected my request. But Wendy happily accepted my issue and solved it. Also I was on covid isolation which made it more panicky. Thanks Wendy and Tompkins. My first lawyer was on a fixed price, and her colleague was contacting me. I had some issue with my bank preapproval which delayed everything. ASAP as bank approval I contacted her colleague who said she is on leave. When she came back from Leave she said she is not my lawyer but the actual one is. At any point they never called me for anything. and finally when I received a call from the lawyer, she said it is my fault. And she told me to sort other things like kiwisaver application myself, while I am in covid isolation and unwell. When I explained my situation, she got offended and said she no longer want to be my lawyer. I was very happy hearing this, later her colleague called me again, asked Whether I wish to continue, I said no. It is at this situation where Wendy came and helped me. She called me and explained what she need and we discussed through kiwisaver online etc and things got sorted in time.
Fantastic.
Michelle is the most awesome Lawyer . She is passionate and does her research . No short cuts with this Lady.
House Purchase. Our Lawyer was Sarah-Louise and she really went above and beyond, especially getting over the last minute hurdles that cam up unexpectedly. She's made a lifelong client of my partner and I and we are extremely grateful for all she did for us. Lisette

Good advice
I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern following a recent interaction with a member of your team, which left me questioning the customer service ethos and inclusivity practices of your establishment. On [27/02/2024], I reached out to your customer service department to discuss some legal matters concerning my grandmother's legal troubles. My call was answered by an individual named Karen(What a convenient Name). After I explained the situation, Karen responded in a manner that was not only unhelpful but also deeply offensive. She accused me of being a scammer on the basis of my current location in London and my accent, which she noted did not sound British. I am Canadian, and it was disheartening to be judged and dismissed based on such irrelevant criteria. Despite my attempts to clarify my intentions and provide further details about my inquiry, Karen chose to terminate the call abruptly, further denying me the opportunity to address my concerns in a professional manner. I am compelled to question whether this incident reflects your institution's stance on treating potential clients. The insinuation that one's legitimacy and intentions are tied to their accent or geographical location is not only discriminatory but also highly unprofessional. As an English major, I am well-versed in the nuances of the English language, and I find it regrettable that I was not afforded the basic courtesy and respect expected in professional interactions. This experience has been disheartening, to say the least. I had hoped for a constructive dialogue and assistance with my grandmother's legal matters, but instead, I was met with baseless accusations and a complete disregard for customer service principles. I urge you to address this matter with the seriousness it deserves. Training in cultural sensitivity and customer service etiquette seems imperative for your staff to ensure that all clients, regardless of their background or where they call from, are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. I look forward to your response and to learning about the steps you will take to rectify this situation and prevent similar incidents in the future.
