Clients consistently praise Keam Standen for their professional, efficient, and helpful service, especially in property transactions. Lawyers Caleb Standen, Barbara Reeve, and Ashley Sykes are frequently mentioned for their knowledge, responsiveness, and reasonable fees. However, a few negative reviews accuse the firm of poor communication, slow responses, and an arrogant attitude, particularly from Caleb Standen. Overall, the positive reviews far outweigh the negative, with many long-term clients and strong recommendations.

I recently sought legal advice for purchasing a home and had a fantastic experience with this law firm. From start to finish, the service was professional, efficient, and extremely helpful. Caleb, in particular, stood out as a top-notch lawyer—knowledgeable, approachable, and always quick to answer any questions I had throughout the process. He made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The whole team was professional and reliable, turning what could have been a stressful time into a seamless one. I highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for trustworthy legal assistance, especially with property matters!
Fabulous team. We have been with them for over 20 years. Have used them for purchasing/selling residential/commercial property, extablishing/sale of a business, landlord agreements, trusts to name a few. Large enough to specialise in multiple areas of law but small enough that you are not a number and have the ability to retain personal service. Highly recommend them.
I can’t recommend Keam Standen Lawyers, and especially Caleb, highly enough. Caleb went above and beyond to help us resolve a difficult situation, even when it meant putting his client’s needs ahead of the firm’s immediate interest. His honesty, integrity, and unwavering commitment to doing what’s right truly stood out. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and principled. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely stands behind their clients, Caleb is the one to trust. Highly recommend him and the entire team at Keam Standen Lawyers!
Ashley ...our new lawyer was super good...she squeezed in an urgent purchase in super quick time and the fees were very reasonable...i liked caleb as he has been my lawyer for a long time...but i reckon i will work with ashley more...but dont tell caleb...:) Good legal practice...only if they could open a branch in aklnd ...would be handy.....thanks keam standen...u are awesome
Thanks for all your help through our issues and appreciate all the help and advice we had and totally recommend using these guys for any legal issues you have, Big thanks again Guys!
I wish I could give them 10 stars. First home buying is one of the toughest challenges in life but if you have right people on board, they make the transition real smooth. I had Barbara Reeve from Keam Standen on board and Renee Douglas. Both the ladies are very friendly and amazingly helpful. They just get onto things without delay and go out of their way to make things work for you. I can go on and on about their service. I can't fault their service at all. And their fees is very reasonable too. So if you need legal help, they are the BEST.
Thanks for the support. Very grateful for your assistance and will use you in future
Fantastic service and all care taken with excellent advice. Highly recommend.
There is always something missing amongst the information when dealing with Keam Standen and when questioned, it is always passed of as the clients issue? The kicker is that Caleb Standen, majority shareholder, is incredibly arrogant, self righteous and condescending. There is an obligation in law to hold an element of empathy. Caleb does not have this at any level and has created a company culture which deflects responsibility at all levels. Stay away!
Very disappointed and a bad experience. Obstructionist and difficult. Slow in responding and inefficient, making the situation worse and more stressful than it had to be. Would not recommend.
Really was just a awful experience through trying times, I verified some behaviours with 2 very acclaimed lawyers who confirmed my thoughts and suggested action should be taken. I would like to say unethical but we will leave that up to the Law Society to decide.
