I have been dealing with the firm for a couple of years through family trust , wills & family estate. Would recommend this firm and Tracey in particular to anyone requiring professional assistance. Inclusive great communication, right down to Jody on reception.
I can't speak for the services offered by the principals but we were very disappointed with the level of professionalism provided by a legal executive doing our conveyancing for a property purchase. From the outset the person in question was unfriendly and combative, and ended with making an error that has had a significant impact on us. I would not recommend using the conveyancing services here and wish I had acted on the initial red flags.
My opinion : This is an embarrassingly amateur legal service . Poor knowledge, substandard service and initiative and a Partner who would not operate on instructions because she thought she knew better. I have used several other firms over the years and I wish I had hadn't engaged TLC at all. When questioned about basic administrative concerns as to process / time delays and basic attention to detail over what should have been a simple legal process they charged me for long emails covering themselves without addressing the problem itself. I do not recommend engaging this company !!!. I felt extorted and outraged after several months of poor service .... given the time and contact since this review and the fact i haven't received any feedback online , this is Just what I expected - no reply after 2 +weeks - There seems to be a theme of dissatisfied clients with similar issues in your google ratings as to mine. Maybe some advice might be considered : (that i'm sure you will not take) : Rather than giving the usual " we take our service seriously". You should realise that some changes should possibly be made with staff attitude . Again my opinion but the reality is you must have one of the worst feedback ratings on google for a Law Firm that I have seen . For a law firm that charges "Auckland high street fees " and hours being charged without explanation ( when asked) that you didn't provide to me ...an E minus rating would be generous - without prejudice
If you are thinking about using The Law Connection or Tracey Pervan, do yourself a favour and find an alternative lawyer. In our experience, Tracey's conduct was not only unprofessional but, at times, incompetent and dishonest. She failed to get critical documents countersigned, and when we queried what was happening, she was evasive, insisting she had supplied the final documents already. It was only after many emails that she admitted that the final documents had never been finalised. When more serious issues arose after our Mum's passing, things only got worse. Her lack of competency and care have gone on to have a significant negative impact on our family.
Very Poor Service. I was living in London when my Dad died, & Sally was dealing with the Estate left to me & my Brother. I couriered legal documents regarding the Estate to the Law Connection. A few days after the Courier had delivered them, Sally was adamant she had still not received them. It was only upon sending the Couriers' proof of delivery & someone's timed & dated signature that the documents suddenly "turned up". Upon arrival back in NZ a few months later, my brother & I met with Sally at the Law Connection premises. Dad had left us the house & some money, & it was agreed I would take ownership of the house & pay my brother for his half. We agreed with Sally that this money would be paid directly into my brothers account from Dad's account, when settling the estate. However the The Law Connection failed carry out this simple instruction & Instead they paid half of Dad's money to each of us. In order to pay my bother his money, (hundreds of thousands) I now have to arrange a meeting with my bank & take various documents to prove this transaction is legitimate & is not fraud or money laundering. We paid a small fortune in fee's for Solicitors that were incapable of following the simple instructions that were agreed to. I would NOT recommend this company. I also invite the Law Connection to respond to this review.
