Kirstie was outstanding with her knowledge to help us in our situation, I would recommend her in a heartbeat
Saw Monika Graham, Kirstie Barr’s associate for a Family Court matter. If you’re in a wheelchair or are pushing a baby/toddler in a pushchair/pram, don’t go to their office or meet offsite because their office has stairs with no elevator. Not family friendly. I met Monika on a Friday morning & my 20 month granddaughter fell asleep in the car on the way. I had to park directly outside their Knox St office. I didn’t think it would be a problem as I was just signing affadavits. Monika met me outside which was helpful. Kudos to her. But Kirstie Barr later on when my child had awoken, burst into Monika’s office & demanded I move my car! She’d parked behind me. Whilst I certainly recognize my error in parking there, I was a client of her legal firm & thought Kirstie would extend grace to me. But I was very wrong. Before I could offer an explanation she bellowed “If you park there again I’ll have you towed”! I was shocked. I’m a paying client. Where was the courtesy? I wasn’t impressed and told Mokia who apologized on Kirstie’s behalf. I decided later to drop them as my lawyers as Ms K Barr did not apologize and I thought to myself ‘I need a lawyer on my side, not an uptight, overbearing tyrant’. Looking for a new lawyer now. Lucky escape me thinks. I’m going to get a local Te Awamutu legal firm.
