We recently bought our first home. Dealing with Rachel has been phenomenal. Her knowledge and experience shone through. She calmed our nerves when we thought we won't be unconditional in time. I would have preferred to give zero stars, given the amount of stress and unnecessary work I had to carry during my first home purchase. The service I received did not meet any professional standard. Despite reviewing the LIM and building report myself, I was still charged the full quoted fee, which explicitly included reviewing these documents. Based on the limited time actually spent on my file, I am more than certain the hours do not justify the amount I paid at all. Worst of all, I had to rewrite several emails for my solicitor because the quality of her writing was extremely poor. This caused delays, confusion, and additional billable hours, as the vendor’s solicitor repeatedly pushed back due to the unclear and poorly referenced communication sent on my behalf. There were also several occasions where my solicitor asked me to recommend actions or advise on minor issues, tasks that were clearly her responsibility, not mine. I have more than enough evidence to warn any first‑home buyer: if you are competent enough to do your own due diligence and not rely on red tape, avoid this company. I am professional enough not to name my solicitor or share the documents demonstrating the poor service I received, but the experience was unacceptable. To this firm I may have been just another client to bill, but for me, this was a life‑changing purchase, one you clearly did not care about
Unorganised and Unprofessional. Rang for a quote on the 06 Oct, rang again on the 12 Nov to confirm. Gave information over the phone to Louis - discussed all details of party’s involved, KiwiSaver and sales/purchase. Rang again on the 04 Dec to follow up. Anthony rung me that afternoon, extremely rude over the phone, very unprofessional. Louis had not done what she needed to on the 12 Nov. Settlement was initially the 12 Dec, this was missed completely, new settlement ended up being 20 Jan. Upon meeting with Lorna to sign documents, the cashflow was $82,000 short. This form had to get changed 3 times with errors I picked up on. Lorna hadn’t read the special conditions which was an $132,500 deposit. After the meeting there were a few emails of forms they had forgotten. 13 Jan got a call from Bridget saying westpac had picked up an issue with incorrect numbers and this form needed changing again. I would highly recommend staying away from this circus and have the pleasure of not dealing with Anthony.
