Shine is definitely true to their logo, to right wrong! Ang and Mitch helped me with lengthy leaky home dispute that took 3 years to resolve. Mitch Jensen from Shine Lawyers helped me out recently with a situation with my car. I haven’t had to engage legal support before, but Mitch was extremely easy to deal with. Very professional and got results fast. I was explained my rights, and just made things so simple. I would definitely recommend Mitch and will be using him again if needed. The situation with my car caused me so much stress, and it shouldn’t have. I should have passed this over to the professionals to take my headache away sooner. I am very thankful this is all done with!

I reached out to this firm seeking support for historical abuse I experienced in care. The communication I received over the phone was deeply unprofessional. I was asked to recount a single incident of abuse, despite explaining that my experience was ongoing and included both sexual and emotional abuse over many years. After placing me on hold for ten minutes to “check with management,” I was told the firm could not help me because of a six-year statute of limitations. This information is factually incorrect, and their handling of my call felt patronising and displayed a lack of empathy for a sensitive subject matter. If you are a survivor seeking legal guidance for historical abuse, I would exercise extreme caution before contacting this firm. Their approach and understanding of survivor issues were inadequate, and their advice may be misleading.

I wish I could give 0 stars - I have dealt with lawyers in the past and never had any issues - so I admit I was naive coming to the table (selected Shine as per their self-promoted authority as being the best for ‘natural disaster’ claims. This was one of the worst experiences I have had - everything from a free ‘consultation’ that sounds extremely positive and promising - and once you have signed their services agreement you are not properly communicated with, the scope of the project is not assessed or checked on, and you are left with a second invoice which includes costing that was never provided to you. I work in marketing and would never dream of treating clients like this - how entitled this team is. And by the way - all I received from their work was a useless opinion letter that I originally assumed I could send to my insurance company - no, it was basically re-iterating what was on my policy. Further, when I objected to the process, we were treated with rude and defensive emails. On top of that, the company assumed I was happy with my results, since I realized asking questions results in more charges, I stopped. This doesn’t mean I am happy. All for over 5k. Thanks for this! I will ensure to spread this via word of mouth.
